Sometimes it's hard to get everything ready to have your quilt professionally longarmed. We are happy to help you out. We can press your top and trim the threads for an hourly fee.

We are also happy to square up, trim and bind your quilt. Just ask for more details.

Measure your quilt.

Make sure your batting and backing is 8-10" larger for both length and width.

Prepare quilt top. 

Press the top to ensure the seams lay flat and there are no pleats or tucks. 

Secure all seams especially along the edges.

Remove all loose threads from the back and front of the quilt. (Darker frayed strands of your fabric or thread tails left on the quilt may show through lighter fabrics when the stitching compresses the layers together.)

Mark the *TOP of your quilt by pinning a slip of paper labeled “TOP” on that part of your quilt. *The part that will be at the head of the bed or top of a wall hanging. (if this applies)

Carefully Fold each layer of the top and back separately to minimize wrinkling after pressing.
